I’m not only being trusted to deliver a funeral that’s compassionate, loving, and meaningful - I’m being trusted with your family’s memories, your person’s personality, and legacy. The importance of treating that with the respect it deserves is absolutely paramount to me.
My aim is for you to leave your person’s funeral service knowing that the impact they made on the world around them has absolutely been encapsulated with tenderness and love.
As a funeral celebrant, I’m here to support you and work with you to create a ceremony that befits your loved one. No matter what ceremony they or you have chosen, I will ensure that their funeral honours these wishes and their personality shines through the entire service.
As a writer, I have years of experience creating stories and characters that feel real, human, and grounded. That requires weaving them with memories and background that let’s them appear to have lived a life before the story began. We’ve been telling stories of characters for thousands of years. What started as folklore, went on to become your local bookshop, cinema, music store, art gallery.
As your funeral celebrant, I see myself as part of a longstanding line of folklore collectors - a position that I think is the greatest privilege of my job. I get to meet with you and hear, collate, and eventually recount, the stories and tales that make up the life story of your loved one. What an incredible honour!
That’s why you can trust me with my skills as a writer as much as a celebrant, to create a service that captures the emotions, thoughts, and memories of your person and to make you laugh, cry, and smile as we journey through them together at their funeral ceremony. They are a unique person, their funeral deserves to celebrate that at every opportunity.

Maybe you’ve thought of holding the funeral ceremony in a crematorium as it feels the best way to honour and respect your person, but this doesn’t always feel like it fits for everyone. The benefit of having a celebrant-led funeral is simple. The choices are endless.
Provided you have a landowner’s permission - you can hold a funeral service anywhere. You can find some alternative service styles here, but from lakesides, beaches, pubs, to mountaintops and beyond. It doesn’t have to be restricted to certain places if that doesn’t feel fitting for you or for your loved one.
Whatever you choose, I will be there to provide you with gentle and compassionate support as we craft your person’s ceremony together. Treating them, and you, with respect and care, every step of the way.

Your funeral service will always include:
A compassionate planning meeting with the next-of-kin, either online or over the phone.
A unique, bespoke ceremony script crafted with professionalism, heart, and care that will be sent for revisions and approval from you.
Liaison with funeral directors and venue/crematorium/burial site.
Optional rituals to add a unique touch to the ceremony - we can even create a new one specifically for your loved one

Travel fees are additional, these will only ever be 45p per driven mile, or the cost of a standard return train journey, return bus journey etc. as applicable.
